Paige is not a fan of Sloppy Joes. In fact, she refers to them as "slobby joes". The rest of my familia loves them. Below is the recipe with a delicious Mild Bill's twist!
Cadillac Cowgirl Sloppy Joes
2 lbs Ground Chuck
2 Cups Ketchup
1 Tbsp Stone Ground Mustard
2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 Tbsp Mild Bill's Jalapeno Jelly
1 Tbsp Mild Bill's Jalapeno Relish
Hamburger Buns and Sliced Cheese
In a large skillet, brown the ground chuck; drain and set aside. Wipe out the skillet and add the meat back to the skillet. Add the ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Jalapeno Jelly and Relish. Stir well over medium heat, cover and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. Check for seasoning and add more Jalapeno Relish if you want more kick. Serve on hamburger buns with slices of American or Cheddar cheese if desired. Enjoy!
DO NOT be afraid of the Jalapeno Jelly and Relish making this too spicy. My kids ate it and it really just added great flavor and very little heat. You can always kick it up a notch, though. Spicy Brown Mustard would also go well with this recipe. I would have liked a little more Jalapeno Relish in it, personally.
Have a great day and stay cool!!
